Of course, I’d love nothing more than for everyone to have shelves upon shelves full of our magazines, but I’m realistic and know that you can’t keep everything. So, using them in projects is the next best thing.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eI was recently scrolling through social media and noticed a few people who used pages from\u003cem\u003e \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/bella-grace\/\"\u003eBella Grace\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e to create simple but striking art journal pages. I thought of some of my copies that were a little damaged and knew I wanted to make a journal page of my own. To do this, I selected a magazine page that featured a powerful photograph that also had a lot of negative space for journaling, and adhered it to a page in my \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/cards-and-journals\/\"\u003enotebook\u003c\/a\u003e and cut off the excess. I then went through the magazine to look for text to use, and cut out the beginning of a quote that I thought worked well as a journaling prompt. I adhered the text to the page, and then used alphabet stamps to respond. You could just as easily handwrite your response or more text cut out from the magazine. To finish, I added some doodles and drips with a \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/mixed-media-supplies\/\"\u003ewhite paint pen\u003c\/a\u003e, scribbles done with a pencil, and applied ink through a stencil for additional interest. If you don’t have a lot of art supplies, you could leave the page as-is or add doodling or drawings with any writing instruments you may have.
