Spread wax onto canvas and adhere sewing pattern paper with wax on top and bottom. Adhere a piece of torn handmade paper to the bottom with wax. Lightly brush gesso and melted oil pastels onto the canvas. Use quilting iron to smooth out the wax. Stamp border image from onto paper, trim and adhere to canvas. Lightly brush gesso to the front of a piece of old book paper, adhere to a piece of card stock. Stamp bird cage images from to the paper, trim and adhere to canvas with wax. Trim color fabric image and adhere to canvas with wax.
