I already was a fan of her work, so I jumped at the chance to create a project for The Shoppe at Somerset that uses a technique straight out of her book.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003ch2\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eThe Grungy Canvas — A Dina Wakley Inspired Project \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDirections\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003c\/h2\u003e \u003cp\u003ePrime the canvas with \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/adhesives-primers-and-mediums\" target=\"\"\u003egesso\u003c\/a\u003e. Let dry.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eStart applying layers of \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/paints\" target=\"\"\u003eacrylic paint\u003c\/a\u003e in turquoise and light blue using your fingers and a dry \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/color-tools\" target=\"\"\u003efoam brush\u003c\/a\u003e to give the background a more organic feel.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eNext, apply green acrylic paint in the same manner.
