I wanted to create a box to hold stationery supplies like ribbon and small \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/cards-and-envelopes\"\u003eenvelopes\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Start by painting the box \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/paints\"\u003eblack\u003c\/a\u003e with some chalkboard paint.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Trace and cut out \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/paper-collections\"\u003epatterned paper\u003c\/a\u003e to fit the top and sides of the box.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e After adhering the paper to the box, lightly sand and apply \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/spray-inks\"\u003eink\u003c\/a\u003e to the edges to create a distressed look.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Next, cut a label from patterned paper, corner-punch it, and glue it to the box.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Use a small handheld drill to make a hole in the top of the box. Loop \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/ribbons-and-twine\"\u003ejute twine\u003c\/a\u003e to create a handle, and add a small dab of glue underneath the lid to hold the twine in place.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Lastly, fill the box with stationer’s supplies.
