This project will take your imagination to new heights with a unique cover that you can recreate yourself.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003ch2\u003eSoar Journal Project Instructions:\u003c\/h2\u003e \u003cp\u003eStart by painting the cover of a kraft \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/cards-and-journals\" target=\"_blank\"\u003emoleskine\u003c\/a\u003e with white \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/the-shoppe-at-somerset\/mixed-media-supplies\" target=\"_blank\"\u003egesso\u003c\/a\u003e, and allow it to dry.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eNext, using a piece of punchinella and some aqua colored acrylic paint, lightly stencil the \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/stencils\" target=\"_blank\"\u003epunchinella\u003c\/a\u003e designs on as desired; and let dry. If you want the acrylic paints to be lighter or darker do a little color mixing with your \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/color\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eacrylics\u003c\/a\u003e by adding white to any color base to make it lighter.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Wait for the paint to dry and then layer pieces of ephemera onto the cover. I used strips of the math washi tape on the bottom, some pieces of torn vintage text, and also a piece of torn paper that I had created using the \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/mixed-media-supplies\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eGelli Plates\u003c\/a\u003e, a \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/mixed-media-supplies\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ebrayer\u003c\/a\u003e, and \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/color\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eacrylic paints\u003c\/a\u003e. I used the Inkssentials Collage Glue Stick to glue the papers down.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Finally, use an acrylic mount and some black \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/inkpads-and-cleaners\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eStazOn\u003c\/a\u003e ink to stamp the I will Soar wings onto the cover. I also add the word “soar” with the Cavallini \u0026amp; Co. alphabet stamps.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eYou can easily personalize your journal by adding a different stamped message or color palette.
