This project ended up being sort of a “happy accident” because I used a stencil design on the front and decided it was too bold and needed to be covered up. I ended up using the washi over the stencil pattern (with the intention of completely covering the stencil design) but even with a strong, colorful graffiti pattern the washi is still transparent so you can see the harlequin faintly. I like how it turned out.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e I started by painting the large \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/paper-mache\"\u003epaper mache book\u003c\/a\u003e white. After the \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/paints\" target=\"\"\u003ewhite paint\u003c\/a\u003e has dried, stencil the \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/stencils\"\u003eHarlequin design\u003c\/a\u003e onto the front of the book with \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/paints\" target=\"\"\u003eteal acrylic paint\u003c\/a\u003e. And allow that to dry also. When the paint has all dried, embellish the front of the book with strips of the graffiti washi tape. Also embellish the bind with the same washi.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Paint some small swatches of white paint on the upper right corner of the book. Once it has dried, stamp numbers from the \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/rubber-art-stamps\" target=\"\"\u003eCavallini \u0026amp; Co. Mini Rubber Stamp Set Vintage Numbers\u003c\/a\u003e stamp set using red \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/inkpads-and-cleaners\"\u003eStazOn Ink\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e Insert a gift and wrap the box up with some hand dyed torn muslin.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Free Projects","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":45452515246231,"sku":"PROJ-0793","price":0.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0659\/5546\/3319\/files\/PROJ-0793__54075.1558400498.1280.1280.jpg?v=1746792866","url":"https:\/\/stampington.live\/products\/free-how-to-project-graffiti-book-box-project","provider":"Stampington \u0026 Company","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
