While brainstorming ideas for this advent calendar, our Shoppe Manager settled on a color palette of greens and pinks, with an extra splash of blue and red for fun.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003ch2\u003eInstructions for Advent Art Calendar\u003c\/h2\u003e \u003cp\u003eBegin by cutting out 25 squares of 1.5”x 1.5” cardstock. If you have a small circle punch on hand, you can easily punch half circles on the squares for the notches on the boxes, or do it by hand.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eNext, using a strong \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/adhesives-primers-and-mediums\"\u003eadhesive\u003c\/a\u003e, glue all the squares on the boxes along with some coordinating strips of the same paper on the outer edges. Embellish the drawers by attaching some \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/the-shoppe-papaya-art?limit=100\"\u003ePapaya Art\u003c\/a\u003e stickers. The small circle stickers in the set are the perfect size for the drawers.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003ePaint a few wooden \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/embellishments\"\u003ebuttons\u003c\/a\u003e with blue acrylic \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/paints\"\u003epaint\u003c\/a\u003e and once they have dried, tie small knots on the buttons with red bakers \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/ribbons-and-fibers\"\u003etwine\u003c\/a\u003e. Glue the buttons onto a few of the drawers. For the three drawers in the middle row, use the banner \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/stickers-and-labels\"\u003estickers\u003c\/a\u003e to spell out the word “advent.” Attach the banner shaped sticker (also from the Papaya holiday sticker set) onto the top left edge of the calendar, and add another blue button on top. Adding a \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/index.php?route=product\/search\u0026amp;filter_name=melissa%20frances\"\u003eMelissa Frances\u003c\/a\u003e embellishment such as the stars to some of the other drawers would be perfect.
