However, I wanted to create a fresh take on dream catchers and incorporate some of my favorite mixed-media techniques into the project. The result is a wonderful combination of the dream catcher’s aesthetic and my own personal style.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003ch2\u003eDream Catcher Project Directions:\u003c\/h2\u003e \u003cp\u003eWith turquoise \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/mixed-media-supplies\/\"\u003espray ink\u003c\/a\u003e, spritz both the feather \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/the-coloring-studio-premier-issue-instant-download\/\"\u003ecoloring page\u003c\/a\u003e and a sheet of \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/mixed-media-supplies\/\"\u003etissue paper\u003c\/a\u003e. Let dry completely.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eCover your work area with wax paper or trash bag, and lay the spray inked tissue paper on top. Mix resin according to package instructions; about 1 tbsp. total of resin and hardener. Spread a thick layer of resin over the tissue paper, covering a piece large enough to fit your doily \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/stencils\/\"\u003estencil\u003c\/a\u003e. Allow your resin to set for at least 12 hours undisturbed.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eWhen resin has cured, apply modeling paste through the doily stencil with a palette knife. Allow to dry. Add some details to the edges and center of the doily design with \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/mixed-media-supplies\/\"\u003eplatinum Stickles glitter glue\u003c\/a\u003e. Cut out the doily pattern and set aside.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eCut out feathers, color in some details with brush-tipped Pitt Artist \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/artist-pens-and-markers\/\"\u003epen\u003c\/a\u003e, and highlight certain pieces of the drawing with platinum glitter glue.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eHole punch the top of the doily, thread with jute \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/ribbons-and-twine\/\"\u003etrim\u003c\/a\u003e, and knot.
