With a fun stencil, a little texture paste, and some spray inks, you too can create an interesting and colorful Valentine’s Day collage.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003ch2\u003eA Valentine’s Day Canvas Project \u003cstrong\u003eInstructions:\u003c\/strong\u003e\n\u003c\/h2\u003e \u003col\u003e \u003cli\u003eFirst, spray your \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/canvas?limit=25\u0026amp;page=2\"\u003ecanvas\u003c\/a\u003e with an assortment of pink and red \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/collections-valentines-day?limit=25\"\u003espray inks\u003c\/a\u003e until you are satisfied with the color combination. Dilute some of the red and pink with White Linen Dylusions \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/spray-inks?limit=25\"\u003eInk Spray\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003c\/li\u003e \u003cli\u003eBefore the canvas completely dries, \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/the-shoppe-ranger?limit=25\u0026amp;page=2%20stencils?limit=25\"\u003estencil\u003c\/a\u003e on pattern with White Sand \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/adhesives-primers-and-mediums?limit=25%20color-tools?limit=25\"\u003eTexture Paste\u003c\/a\u003e and a \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/color-tools?limit=25\"\u003epalette knife\u003c\/a\u003e. I used Kasia Krzymi?ska’s XOXO stencil design by The Crafter’s Workshop. The grainy texture of the paste adds an interesting element to the canvas.\u003c\/li\u003e \u003cli\u003eNext, spritz a bit more pink or red spray ink to color the texture paste; set aside until completely dry. Be patient, this takes a bit of time.\u003c\/li\u003e \u003cli\u003eWhile your texture paste is drying, stamp \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/collections-valentines-day?limit=25\"\u003ehearts\u003c\/a\u003e and words onto old book text and white cardstock, and then cut out the hearts and words.\u003c\/li\u003e \u003cli\u003eOnce the texture paste is dry, tie some \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/twine?limit=25\"\u003ejute twine\u003c\/a\u003e around the canvas.\u003c\/li\u003e \u003cli\u003eFinally, glue your cut-out hearts and words onto the canvas with \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/adhesives-primers-and-mediums?limit=25\"\u003egel medium\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003c\/li\u003e \u003cli\u003eTo create variations of the canvas I added texture paste directly to the canvas.\u003c\/li\u003e \u003cli\u003eFor the white canvas, I applied a liberal amount of texture paste over the canvas before I added any ink. I used a \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/the-shoppe-ranger?limit=25\u0026amp;page=2\"\u003eheat gun\u003c\/a\u003e to speed up the drying time. Once the texture paste was dry, I placed the stencil over the canvas and sprayed Cherry Pie Dylusions \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/spray-inks?limit=25\"\u003eInk Spray\u003c\/a\u003e to create a fun effect.\u003c\/li\u003e \u003cli\u003eThe square canvas was a happy accident. The background was already painted with pink acrylic paint. So, in an attempt to experiment, I spread White Sand Texture Paste over the entire canvas, and set it aside to work on the other canvases.
