This little bird is atwitter with secrets, just waiting to pour out its artistic potential on an art journal page or mixed-media collage.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003ch2\u003eA Little Birdie Told Me Project Directions\u003c\/h2\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003ca href=\"\/collections\/adhesives-primers-and-mediums\"\u003eGesso\u003c\/a\u003e the background of your substrate, and let dry.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eUse a palette knife to apply \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/adhesives-primers-and-mediums\" target=\"\"\u003etexture paste\u003c\/a\u003e through Leaves \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/stencils\" target=\"\"\u003emedia mask\u003c\/a\u003e, and let dry completely.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eApply coordinating \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/paints\" target=\"\"\u003eacrylic paint\u003c\/a\u003e to the top of the panel, and spritz with water to spread the paint around the panel.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eEdge the panel with a contrasting acrylic paint using your finger (water it down a bit first).\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eStamp the \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/dina-wakley-collection\" target=\"\"\u003escribbly bird\u003c\/a\u003e and saying with permanent black ink on watercolor paper.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003ePaint the bird with a mix of watered-down Lemon, Ruby, Tangerine, and Umber \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/paints\" target=\"\"\u003eacrylic paint\u003c\/a\u003e. Be sure to leave some white space to give the bird a watercolor effect.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eWater down Night paint, and splatter it over the bird and the saying. Let it all dry.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eGlue a strip of dictionary paper to the background with \u003ca href=\"\/collections\/adhesives-primers-and-mediums\"\u003egel medium\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eWater down some metallic paint and splatter it over the bird, the saying, and the background panel. Let the splatters dry.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eCut out the bird and the saying.
