"I often describe my studio as what it might look like if you stepped inside my brain or ribcage. It has two large windows and a high ceiling. Dust sheets hang across the ceiling, along with my collection of old baskets and dried flowers. One wall is draped with old linen fabric and saris, while the opposite wall holds my books.
The floor is covered in a patchwork of antique rugs, and there are four wooden tables placed in different areas: one for drawing, one for arranging and styling vignettes, one for writing at my desktop, and one for sewing. The space is a treasure trove of trinkets, found pieces, and anything and everything I find inspiring or believe I may one day use as a prop or material in my work. — Java Ceridwen Bere
